Safeguarding Policy

What we do

1. Identify. We check every pupil message before the AI answers it. Our system may flag a message that suggests a child could be at risk.
2. Respond safely. The AI does not answer a flagged message.
3. Keep a record. We keep safeguarding records securely, with restricted access.
4. Human review. A trained person at Kodori reviews each message.
5. Pass it on. For a school account, we tell the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

We do not investigate or give advice. We may not tell a parent if that could put the child at risk.If we believe a child is at risk of serious harm, and there is no school DSL to tell, or telling the parent could put the child at risk, we refer the concern to the children’s social care team at the child’s local council. If a child is in immediate danger, we call 999.
