- Homework help for KS2, KS3 and GCSE
Stuck on homework the school set?
When your child gets stuck, we help them understand the missing step and let them try again.
It is seven in the evening, the homework is due tomorrow, and the two of you have been staring at the same question for twenty minutes. You half remember how to do it. Explaining it is a different matter.
For children in Years 3 to 11KS2, KS3 and GCSE · maths, English and science
Kodori is not another set of homework. It is the thing you open alongside the homework your child already has.

- The first thing to say
Kodori will not do the homework.
Kodori is designed to guide the next step rather than finish the homework. Your child remains responsible for their answer. It will not write the answer, finish the sentence or solve the sum. Your child gets a hint that points at the next step, and if they are still stuck, a second one. Neither contains the answer.
- One homework question
What actually happens when your child is stuck.
A wrong answer usually starts a few steps earlier than the question being asked.
On the homework
The answer looks careless. It is not.
1/4 + 1/2 = 2/6
Not correct yet
They added the top numbers, then added the bottom numbers. A cross shows that the answer is wrong, but it does not explain what the denominator means or what needs to happen before fractions can be added.
What Kodori does
Rebuild the idea underneath, then return to the question.
The problem is not simply addition. It is understanding what the denominator tells us about the size of each part. Once that idea is clearer, your child can go back to question 4 with a better method.
1
Draw both fractions as equal parts of a whole
2
Make the parts the same size
3
Explain what the denominator is telling us

- FAQs
Questions parents ask about homework help.
Will Kodori do my child’s homework?
No. Two hints per question, neither containing the answer, and it will not write an essay or solve a sum on your child’s behalf.
What if I cannot help because I do not remember the method?
You do not need to. Kodori works from your child’s own working and shows the next step from there, so you are not teaching a different method by accident.
What subjects and year groups does it cover?
Maths, English and science, for children aged 7 to 16, in Years 3 to 11. Not Reception, Years 1 and 2, or A-Level.
How much does it cost?
Monthly plans are £24.99 per child, and maths, English and science are included on the relevant plan. Start with a seven-day free trial and cancel any time.
