AI Policy
What Kodori’s AI is
Kodori is an AI tutor for pupils aged 7 to 16. It helps with Maths, English and Science.
It is a computer program. It is not a teacher, a friend, a counsellor or a person.
What the AI does not do
- It does not decide grades, exam entries or school places.
- It does not show adverts or sell anything to pupils.
- It does not use a pupil’s chats to build a profile for marketing.
The AI can be wrong
The AI can make mistakes. Check important answers with a teacher or parent.
Kodori supports learning. It does not replace a teacher.
Safety
- We check every pupil message for signs of risk before the AI answers it.
- If a message shows a possible concern, the AI does not answer it.
- The pupil sees a kind, safe message instead, and a trained person at
- Kodori looks at it. The pupil is not locked out and can carry on learning. See our Safeguarding Policy.
- No system catches everything.
If a child is in danger right now, call 999.
Children can talk to Childline for free on 0800 1111 or at childline.org.uk.
Who can see chats
Parents and teachers can see a pupil’s progress. They cannot see the pupil’s chats with the AI.
Trained Kodori safety staff can see a chat only when it has been flagged as a possible concern.
Government standards
We use the Department for Education’s Generative AI product safety standards as our checklist.
